A linocut print of butterflies on a library shelf overgrown with flowers

Every good library is overgrown – with ideas and histories and strands of narrative. Each bookshelf is densely packed, filled with countless stray thoughts or facts. Pick a book from the shelf and it could be written two years ago or two thousand years ago. It could have come from any corner of the globe. Ideas spreading from one mind to another, transforming and flowering into something new.
